Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you provide?

Our 3 main services include Assessment, Organization, and Management — we’re unique in that we understand that our clients do not come to us because therapy is easy for them. Most of our clients are very successful but not yet in therapy. So, we offer a consultative concierge model so each person is set up and supported to succeed in their own course of dynamic treatment that is reviewed and refined on an ongoing basis.

We guide people to make the most of the therapeutic process, starting by helping to choose their own professional team inside Upwell.

Do you take insurance?

No, we are not in network with any insurance companies. Upwell Advisors is a therapy concierge company and does not provide clinical services directly.

Can I do telehealth sessions?

Our coaching and companion services are in-person only.  However, some of the Independent Professional Clinicians that we refer to may agree to a combination of in person and remote sessions only for clients residing within the state of New York.

Are you available after hours?

If you are working with a Sober Companion, Life Guide, or Wellness Coach, then they may be present with you for part of all of the day. If you do not have 24-hour in-person support, then you can reach out to the Therapy Concierge Desk in order to leave a message for a team member.

Do you work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults?

We work with clients who are ages 13+ and collaborate with highly vetted Licensed Independent Practitioners who specialize in these various age groups.

Do you work with couples and families?

Upwell Advisors believes in working with entire family systems for the most comprehensive recovery from mental health and Substance Use Disorders.  Family wellness outcomes also improve when these goals are addressed together.

What types of addiction and mental health conditions do you work with?

Upwell Advisors is able to support clients who face issues such as:

  • Substance use disorders

  • Process addictions

  • Eating disorders

  • Mood disorders

  • Thought disorders

  • Personality disorders

We are also able to work with individuals who may not have a clinical diagnosis but who would like to optimize their mental and physical wellness.  We are not the best fit for clients who have Pervasive Developmental Disabilities.

What is your process like?

Our services begin with Assessment and Organization, which varies in length from one to three weeks, depending on the severity and complexity of symptoms and if there is a need for stabilization.

We support and help our clients choose each one of their recommended providers, which encourages and enhances each person’s experience of authority and agency within their own chosen treatment team and allows for the greatest sense of collaboration and success as a result.

Our team of providers and clients all have ongoing connection through proprietary state-of-the-art technology to optimize the process, experience, and outcome for everyone involved.

Do I need to live in New York City to work with Upwell Advisors?

If you do not live in New York City, our Therapy Concierge Desk is able to coordinate logistics for you to arrange to stay in a hotel or short-term rental.  It is required that you are in New York City in order to attend one of our three care tracks: Crisis and Stabilization, Personal Growth, and Wellness Tracks. Otherwise, we are only able to provide Case Management services outside of New York City.

What is the monthly fee for Upwell Advisors' services?

Please contact us directly for accurate pricing.  Our services are individualized and vary depending on which of our three tracks a client: Crisis and Stabilization, Personal Growth, or the Wellness Track.
